On December the 5th, 2023, at Palazzo Serbelloni the Pennisi
Family celebrated the 50 Anniversary of activity with an event directed
by Paula Cademartori presenting its unpublished collection of jewels and
the pubblication of its first book "Pennisi Collection Three Centuries
of Hight Jewellery" tome by Alba Cappellieri and edited by Skira
Pennisi Collection Book
From the diamond aigrettes adored by Marie Antoinette to the sumptuous coral and cameo parures favored by Pauline Bonaparte. From the micromosaic masterpieces of the Grand Tour to the sentimental jewels of Queen Victoria or the diamond ring with the monogram of Emperor Franz Joseph, up to the sinuous brooches of Art Nouveau. From the sophisticated bracelets of the Déco, to the splendor of platinum and diamonds of the Mode Blanche and the delicacy of the bouquets of the great jewelers of the fifties: this volume celebrates three centuries of high jewellery, from 1750 to 1950, enclosed in the precious treasure chest of the Pennisi collection. A journey through time and style, which crosses fashions and ways, rare materials and age-old techniques, in the company of extraordinary goldsmiths and legendary women, and leads us to masterpieces of goldsmith art of incomparable beauty.
