Gold Micromosaic Parure

A high quality gold and micromosaic parure comprising a necklace and a pair of pendant earrings. The set was made in the early 19th Century in Rome and was gifted to Major Howe by Pope Pius VII. The necklace is composed of 8 plaques depicting ( from the center ) the Pantheon, the Tomb Cecilia Metella, the Temple of Vesta. 1810 c.a. 

Antica ed importante Parure in oro giallo con micromosaici composta da una collana ed un paio di orecchini in scatola originale. La collana è composta da 8 placche unite da una finisssima maglia manin. Le placche raffigurano, il Pantheon, la Tomba di Cecilia Metella, il Tempio di Vesta, il ponte lucano ed altri monumenti di epoca Romana.  1810 c.a.
